The Department of English was established in the year 2014 and is one of the first departments that was functional since the inception of the college with undergraduate programme in English Language and Literature. It was raised to a postgraduate department with M.A. English Language and Literature in 2020. The department plays a vital role of engaging every student of the college and exposing them to the English language, literature and cultures in order to make them knowledgeable and sensitive members of a global society. The Department is headed by Mrs Anjali Bhas. It has ten faculty members.
